Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct accessibility testing on web applications using various tools such as axe Auditor, axe Monitor, axe Auditor Enterprise, Deque Labs’ axe Auditor, WCAG 2.0 AA conformance report, WebAIM WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool, etc.
- Identify and report defects found during testing to ensure compliance with accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with development teams to resolve identified issues and implement fixes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in accessibility testing.
- Develop test plans and strategies for new features and releases.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 3-8 years of experience in Accessibility Tester role or related field (IT Services & Consulting).
- Strong understanding of HTML/CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), React.js, Angular, Node.js programming languages.
- Experience working with WCAG 2.0 AA conformance requirements.
Accessibility principles and guidelines (WCAG), ARIA
Expert knowledge
Screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack), assistive tools (like CCA)
In depth knowledge and hands on experience
HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Good Proficiency to offer technical solutions and assist project teams through feedback, prototypes, and sample artifacts.
Accessibility evaluation for visual designs, digital products including mobile devices, native apps, and non-HTML content
Real time hands-on experience
Report writing to clearly communicate Accessibility findings and recommendations
