Role Overview:
Data Analyst will be working with Senior Analytics Manager, Business Relationship Manager and HR Data Governance function on successful implementation of HR related Power BI projects. The incumbent will be responsible for designing and implementing analytics reports and dashboards to enable visibility, analysis and business insight in support strategic imperatives and ongoing business requirements. Analytics solutions include end-user reports and dashboards, advanced & custom data visualizations. The incumbent will establish the purpose and parameters of the data visualisation and provides overall control, to ensure appropriate use of data visualisation tools
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy high fidelity operational (visibility into what’s happening now), strategic (track key performance indicators) and analytical (process data to identify trends, forecasts, and insights) reports and dashboards. The implementation process shall follow industry standards and best practices to ensure the security of information and user access points when deploying Business Analytical solutions.
Defines and manages scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation activities for small-scale changes and assists with more complex change initiatives. Follows agreed standards, applying appropriate techniques to elicit and document detailed requirements.
Support & maintain the analytics user experience, adoption and release management cycle of dashboard/report content, administration and user maintenance. Plans and performs all types of user experience evaluation to check and confirm that usability and accessibility requirements have been met. Ensures all procedural documentation is up to date
Education:
Bachelors degree in data analytics, business analytics, data science, information sciences, computer science or relevant field
Licenses/ Certifications:
Power BI proficiency
SQL proficiency
Microsoft Office tools proficiency (especially Excel)
Python- strongly recommended
MS Fabric strongly recommended
Experience:
3+ years of extensive Power BI standard & custom visual development, design, wireframing, storyboarding/storytelling experience
3+ years of extensive experience in work with SQL databases
Expert designer of information visualizations and dashboards
Strong knowledge of data analysis, modeling, report generation and warehousing/data stores.
Must have a high level of computer literacy with desktop and cloud-based productivity software such as Office365, Microsoft Office desktop applications, Microsoft Teams etc.
Expert in selecting the right dashboard design and deployment method for business requirements
Familiarity with SDLC and agile(scrum) methodologies
Experience in programming languages (R, SQL, Python)
Experience in working with HR data in the past (especially Workday) is a plus
